One of the biggest poker ambassador signings of recent times has taken place as Rob Mariano, well-known as ‘Boston Rob’ has signed up as the newest PokerGO ambassador. The television personality, who has starred in more series of Survivor than anyone else and played poker as a celebrity on the circuit over the years, is set to wear the purple patch as he welcomes new players into sharing their own highlight period in the game with Boston Rob on PokerGO.
Poker Night with Boston Rob
Mariano is sure to be a big success as PokerGO’s latest ambassador and will be heading out to Vegas this week to take part in the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event, which was introduced by Koray Aldemir, the 2021 champion, as play got under way on Day 1a on Sunday.
Mariano has partnered up with PokerGO to share the company’s new NFT collection of poker archives entitled the ‘Genesis’ collection. He’s all over the content, however, as he will host Poker Night with Boston Rob on PokerGO’s new app which will be rolled out on iOS and Android very soon.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mariano will be starring in a new studio-based poker show, which is as-yet untitled project that will kick off in the weeks following the Main Event’s conclusion on July 17th.
The Survivor to Boss Them All
“PokerGO represents the best in poker entertainment.”
Mariano is going to be a passionate ambassador for PokerGO, who are just as excited about welcoming the former Survivor winner into the fold.
“I am thrilled to join PokerGO as a new ambassador and share the role alongside some of the biggest names in the game in Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, and Maria Ho,” said Mariano upon being announced as the latest player to join the PokerGO stable. “PokerGO represents the best in poker entertainment, and I can’t wait to get started on some of the great new projects we have to help continue to grow the game.”
The former Survivor winner is clearly a hugely competitive player, and he hopes to bring that competitive edge to his new employers. Mariano won Survivor: Redemption Island and finished runner-up on Survivor: All-Stars. Mariano’s involvement in the show doesn’t end there, however, as he met his wife on Survivor: All-Stars, where he finished as runner-up to his soon-to-be wife. Don’t tell anyone that man doesn’t know GTO strategy.
PokerGO’s Win is Nobody’s Loss
Mariano may have become a TV celebrity who has travelled the world based on his charismatic personality, but behind his jovial charm, he has a keen eye for playing poker at the highest level he possibly can. You don’t win Survivor – or get invited back more than anyone else – without being a dedicated player at every level.
Mariano is currently filming the second season of Beantown, which streams via the Very Local app. It won’t be long, however, before he’s back at the poker felt in the WSOP Main Event and then playing – and presenting – plenty on PokerGO. We can’t wait to see how he survives in both the Main Event and beyond.
