The World Series of Poker is right around the corner and not only are there 88 WSOP bracelet events to look forward to, but there is action to be bought. One of the hottest properties of any summer in Las Vegas is Daniel Negreanu, who has been in the running for Player of the Year in the past half-decade. The good news for poker fans is that as of tonight at 5pm Pacific Time, you can buy a piece of Kid Poker at the WSOP – at face value.
Negreanu Selling His Action Without Mark-Up
If you’ve never invested in a player at the World Series of Poker before, it could hardly be easier to do so. Players used to sell action privately, or on the popular poker forum, 2+2. Nowadays, the process has been streamlined via PocketFives, whose staking marketplace features players of all levels. That’s not only because the Canadian is a Poker Hall of Famer with a great record at the WSOP. Those things matter of course, but he is also selling at spot, i.e. face value, no markup, what you buy is what you get.
For an inexperienced player to do that would be an incredible value, but for a poker legend to sell his action without markup is truly amazing and fans who invested before are already clamoring to get a piece before they are all gone.

Negreanu’s buy-ins for the 2022 WSOP total an eye-watering $1.9 million, but of course, this does not account for any winnings. The Canadian is seldom not profitable in a tournament series and has enjoyed a lot of success in the past year, banking seven figures that more than contribute to his $43 million in lifetime tournament earnings.
That total puts him third on the all-time money list behind only Justin Bonomo and Bryn Kenney, both of whom have significant ‘one-off’ results that account for a vast proportion of their totals. Over the past two decades, it is impossible to think of anyone as successful as the six-time WSOP bracelet winner Negreanu.

Investing in Negreanu is a great sweat and is almost guaranteed to give you some return, but how much will it cost you to put your money where Negreanu’s mouth is? Negreanu is selling his full package – that is to say tournaments across the board including some very big buy-in events – for the first time in three years, since pre-pandemic 2019. That’s a reflection of just how exciting this announcement is, with Kid Poker due to play around 50 of the 88 events depending on how often he reaches final tables. With a run to the final dozen in the Main Event in recent memory, Negreanu will be looking to win his first Vegas-based bracelet since 2008, with his 2013 double in both France and Australia alone earning him $1.5m in today’s money.
Which Events Are Included in Negreanu’s Package?
Negreanu is taking on the best of the best this summer but can count himself among the elite given his incredible longevity and recent success. This year, Kid Poker will definitely play the $100,000 High Roller Bounty event, the $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship, which is a similar structure and same buy-in as the recent PGT Heads-Up Showdown, where only the eventual runner-up Darren Elias defeated him.
Also on the ticket are the $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, $10,000 Razz Championship, and the infamous WSOP Main Event, which still costs $10,000 to enter just as it did back in 1971 in its first ‘entry’ year.
Negreanu will also be front and center in the $25k Fantasy Draft, where players and fans alike can pick favorite players to make a team-up, buying in for $25,000. Three years ago, the most recent Fantasy Draft took place with Ryan Riess’ team triumphing for a top prize of $150,000.
