Fancy carving your name into poker history like Doyle Brunson or Chris Moneymaker? The daily schedule has been released for the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), and it’s a packed tournament list, with a whopping 95 live events taking place at Paris and Horseshoe in Las Vegas. The 54th WSOP has gone “all in” on the Main Event and the world record attendance could well be broken in Sin City. Where can you play in a WSOP event? Read on about all the bracelet events.

Welcome Back to the World Series

Live poker is thriving and post-pandemic, numbers have skyrocketed. Everyone loves a bit of No Limit Hold’em and this year is expected to be no different, as the WSOP’s Jack Effel announced on Twitter earlier today.

The 54th annual World Series if Poker is back on the Las Vegas Strip at both Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 30th to July 18th this summer, with last year’s venue of Bally’s now renamed – and reupholstered – as the Horseshoe Las Vegas. With more tables, a greater variety of game formats and more promotions around satelliting into the WSOP Main Event than ever before, it already looks like an exciting schedule for players of any bankroll.

In 2022, almost 200,000 players took to the tables and over $347 million in prizepools went to 90 bracelet winners. With a raft of Online WSOP bracelets up for grabs this year too, this summer will see 608 tables across Horseshoe and Paris casinos and the first-ever $300 tournament to take place in WSOP history.

It’s going to be a great summer.

A Record-Breaking Main Event?

This year, the WSOP clearly want to make the Main Event the biggest one ever. The $10,000 buy-in event, the biggest event of the year every year since its introduction as an open event in 1971, will be taking place between July 3rd – 17th, and after last year’s attendance of 8,663 entrants got close to the record, the team are doing all they can to tip the 2023 numbers past the magical 9,000 mark.

“With the momentum generated from the WSOP’s debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year, we expect a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2023,” said Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President & Executive Director of the WSOP. “If the Main Event is on your bucket list, this is the year to get to Vegas.”

This year’s theme of ‘Main Event Mania’ is a lot more cheery than last year’s ‘Vegas is Open Again’ and finally in an established home on the Las Vegas Strip,  its sure to be an amazing event. This year, there will be 600 Main Event Seats Guaranteed from GGPoker’s qualifiers, with 500 of those guaranteed Main Event seats on GGPoker.com through international qualifiers and another 100 seats on the ClubGG.net subscription site – a total of $6,000,000 as a guaranteed package towards the prizepool

Online satellites will begin as early as March, with ‘Main Event Mania’ rolling out worldwide. As well as the qualifiers via GGPoker, WSOP.COM will send 112 players to the Main Event too, with those guaranteed 112 seats being won from June 25th to July 8th.

A Cut Above Previous Years

While the WSOP is celebrating its past, this schedule is clearly looking to the future. There are a raft of mixed games on offer, and that all-important $300-entry event. With over 200,000 square feet of convention space, round-the-clock cash games running and the brand-new World Series of Poker Hall of Fame® Poker Room it’s sure to be one of the most exciting years ever to play on the WSOP.

There are WSOP Online bracelet events on offer every Sunday during the summer, with three Double Up Bracelet Days taking place on June 4th, June 25th and July 9th. One of the highlights is the ‘Main Event for Life’ promotion. If the Main Event record is broken, all entrants in the field will be placed into a draw that will give one lucky winner a buy-in into the WSOP Main Event for the next 30 years!
