US online slots players are set to see more “high-quality games” hit internet casinos in years to come as Scientific Games complete the takeover of developer Lightning Box.
Scientific Games and Sydney-based developer Lightning Box have worked in collaboration for years to provide online slots players in North America, Australia and Europe with some of the most eye-catching games on the market.
Online slots games developed by Lightning Box have proven particularly popular on the US OpenGaming platform owned by Scientific Games, an ‘end-to-end digital ecosystem for operators’.

The acquisition comes as Scientific Games seeks to further its reach into the widening US online casino market. Individual states are currently passing their own legislation on granting licences for online gambling and sports betting operators, with Scientific Games now in an even stronger position to deliver high-quality casino games to players.
Who Are Lightning Box?
Lightning Box already offer scores of casino games and are famous for their online slots brands Silver Lion, Phoenix Coins and Enchanted. The company, which launched in Australia way back in 2004 as a simple game developer, is currently live with over 50 operators.
Online casinos in the US, Canada and Europe – such as William Hill, 888, FanDuel, Unibet, BetMGM and LeoVegas – all feature extensive Lightning Box games. Their games can also be found in highstreet casinos across the US, UK, South America and Australia.
Famed for their high-resolution graphic design and creation of immersive worlds within games, Lightning Box is a big scoop for Scientific Games.
