Poker and television have enjoyed a thrilling renaissance in recent years and that owes no small thanks to PokerGO after a number of popular series were reinvigorated for their returns. Shows such as High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark have enjoyed a new lease of life on the digital channel, with rating figures through the roof. So, it’s with great glee that we report that a new televised live cash game show, No Gamble, No Future is the next show set to be broadcast by PokerGO from August 1st.

Cash Game Action Back on the Menu

PokerGO has grown to such an extent that over the last few years, it has transformed into the world’s biggest poker content company on the globe. No Gamble, No Future episodes will premiere from 8.00pm Eastern on August 1st, with Series 1, Part 1 followed by episodes on the following Thursday, Monday and Thursday by Parts 2-4.

With No Gamble, No Future becoming something of an industry buzzword, heightened by Jake Cody’s win on roulette a few years ago bringing the phrase back to the attention of poker players and gamers, there is already a podcast that goes by the same name on the PokerGO network.

There will be mid and high stakes action, with the premiere featuring blinds of $200/$400 and a minimum buy-in of a cool $100,000 mandatory to take part. Gambling is very much the name of the game, of course and with a space for ‘the occasional sit-n-go’ later in the series, there is a lot to play for along with the most important prize of all – bragging rights.

Dream Team Sees Negreanu Take the Reins

“The line-ups will be fun, the stakes will be big, and the action will be electric.”

The hosts of the podcast of the same name, Brent Hanks and Jeff Platt, will both take care of the commentary duties on the show. That’s sure to please fans who might well believe the show couldn’t be made without them, so distinct are their personalities to the project. But the star of the show may well be the host.

A former presenter of the Big Game under her maiden name of Amanda Letherman, these days, she is known as Amanda Negreanu, wife of Daniel Negreanu and the under-the-radar star of the couple’s revealing and hilarious WSOP journeys through video blogs. Negreanu, who was reunited with Hanks and Platt on the popular Friday Night Poker, is going to be a big draw for fans of The Big Game, the show during which she met her future husband.

“Since our days hosting the podcast, No Gamble, No Future the brand has truly taken on a life of its own,” said Hanks, who as well as commentating on thousands of hours of poker for the channel, is PokerGO’s Director of Programming. “In many ways, it’s become a lifestyle. Now, we’ll get to see it all play out on the biggest stage in poker. We understand the poker viewing audience wants to see entertaining poker content and we look forward to delivering just that with No Gamble, No Future. The line-ups will be fun, the stakes will be big, and the action will be electric.”

Boston Rob and Maria Ho Both Star in Season 1

The players are always the most important aspect of any cash game show, as they dictate the action and exactly how fast it really is.

“It is a great pleasure to ‘get the band back together’ and do so as we bring No Gamble, No Future to new heights,” said Platt, whose own prowess at the felt has become the stuff of legend in recent years. “Developing the brand into a cash game show on PokerGO is a natural evolution and represents just how far it has come. I’ve had the privilege to see some of the line-ups as they’re coming together and it is without a doubt going to be to my enjoyment to call the action for what could be some of the most entertaining poker we’ve seen.”

With the new series featuring players such as the new PokerGO ambassador ‘Boston Rob’ Mariano, as well as others such as Maria Ho, Solve for Why founder Matt Berkey, Eric Persson, Patrik Antonius and Nick Schulman, it’s sure to be a lot of fun to watch, with all the action starting in just a few days’ time.
