The latest news in the World Series of Poker is that the dates have been released for the forthcoming 2022 World Series of Poker Europe schedule, as well as all the end-of-year International Circuit Dates too. With 15 opportunities to take home a WSOP bracelet looming large on the horizon, we’ve looked at how players of all levels can hope to fulfil their poker dreams.
WSOP Announce 15 Bracelet Events
Taking place from October 26th until November 16th, the World Series of Poker Europe kicks off in Rozvadov on the Czech Republic’s border with Germany. There are 15 bracelet events that will take place, but while many players will flood to Europe in pursuit of gold, don’t expect players such as Doyle Brunson to make the trip as the 88-year-old won’t even be signing eBay items after a row erupted over sell-ons in the online auction space.
As well as the WSOP Europe schedule, there are plenty of tournaments to rival the recent WSOP Tournament of Champions as 10 more dates have been released for events on the 2022/23 international WSOP Circuit season. Taking place in countries as diverse as Australia, Mexico and Canada, the series will be sure to bring new players to poker from all over the world and in particular, we’d expect Canadian players to flock to events in their thousands.
There’s also a WSOP Circuit series taking place in Rozvadov from September 21st, which lasts through until October 11th at the world-famous King’s Resort. Built around poker, the King’s Casino cardroom is the largest in Europe, so can cope with any crowd that arrives to play for glory.

No Player of the Year Race for WSOPE in 2022
In many recent years, bracelets have been won and points accrued in pursuit of WSOPE bracelets that contribute to the WSOP Player of the Year award. This year, that wasn’t the case, as Daniel Zack celebrated a famous win in the race to become ‘POY’, outlasting others such as the outstanding Daniel Weinman and ‘Cowboy’ Dan Smith in what the man himself called the ‘Summer of Dans’.
With entries ranging from €350 to €50,000, every WSOPE event will have a guaranteed prizepool, with over €12 million on the line over the schedule’s three weeks of poker action. Last year’s WSOP Europe Main Event saw the €10,350-entry event build a bigger than €5 million prizepool, with local lad Josef Gulas Jr. to scoop up the top prize of €1,276,712, with his victory over 687 other entries headlining a thrilling festival. This year’s Main Event takes place between November 11th to 16th.
